In the wake of the Charlie Hebdo attacks, the French-Muslim community has tuned (literally) to the radio where “Beur FM” has become a voice for the local Muslim community while also attracting new non-Muslim listeners. As Imam Abdelali Mamoun said of the listeners to his popular daily show Islam Now, “They ask certain questions, namely about how to reconcile their everyday life with their religious practice.”
