Muslims in Spain are concerned about new zoning laws on the ballot where conservatives aim to protect “traditional Spanish businesses” by attempting to limit the number of kebab shops and other immigrant-owned businesses in the Tarragona’s historic quarter. Nouari Benzaw, a local kebab shop owner, says of the situation: “My business is legal. I pay my taxes. I don’t sell contraband. So what are they so worried about? This is called discrimination.”
