With the popularity of Formula 1 auto racing in Bahrain and Abu Dhabi, Iran is hoping to get on the circuit (yes, literally) and are planning to build a motorsport track on Qeshm Island. As Masoud Soltanifar, Iran’s Chief of Cultural Heritage and Tourism says, “Iran has so many young people with an increasing tendency for driving. Formula One has a great future in Iran.”
