Robert Doggart, who in 2014 made a failed bid for Congress, pleaded guilty to interstate communication of threats as documented in his plea agreement filed in the U.S. District Court in Knoxville, Tennessee. According to court documents, Mr. Doggart was plotting to burn down an upstate New York mosque and use an assault rifle against anyone who attempted to stop him. The Muslim community is particularly outraged that there has been so little media attention about this, and that Mr. Doggart is out on bail and has not been charged with terrorism.
