SPOTLIGHT ON: Women’s Rights In The Middle East

The Brookings U.S. Islamic World Forum is to be held in early June and one of the topics to be discussed are women’s rights in “the unstable Middle East.” As scholar Jomana Qaddour says in the piece, “Women in the Middle East have always been dynamic actors in their communities; and since the Arab Spring women have facilitated significant societal change that has forever altered the region.”
