A look at Muslim refugees in the Houston area, many have fled war or repressive circumstances in the Middle East but despite this, are still thankful this Ramadan. “Many are traumatized by their situation,” says Ali Al Sudani, Director for Interfaith Ministries of Greater Houston. “But they are very resilient and we work with them very hard. A good thing about Houston is there are already refugee communities and mosques to lend social support.”
