It has schools, hospitals, supermarkets, television tents, prayer rooms, playgrounds and even farmland but it’s not a city. Suruc is the largest refugee camp in Turkey, housing 25,000 people into 15 “neighborhoods” of sorts. Nearly two million Syrians have crossed the border into Turkey since the civil war started four years ago.
