Coming on the heels of the Chinese government’s not allowing fasting during this year’s Ramadan for Muslim government and party officials, Beijing’s Renmin University announced that Islam has the largest population of followers in China under thirty years old, with 22.4% matching this age bracket. According to the survey, overall, Buddhism has the highest amount of followers in China.
