Talks have begun for Britain’s first “female-managed” mosque in Bradford where a quarter of the population is Muslim. The mosque will be inclusive of both sexes, and run by the local Muslim Women’s Council.
Imam Qari Asim, who has written guidelines for mosques, says the development was “fantastic” and that “we need to make our mosque a dynamic, vibrant and inclusive institution.”
