If a Muslim person wishes to pray at Orlando International airport, he or she will need to perform their religious ritual either in a restroom, in pubic or in the airport chapel. But that will soon all change as the airport is spending $250,000 to build a “reflection room” where Muslims can comfortably pray. Emirates airlines will soon be flying out of the airport daily, carrying hundreds of passengers from the Middle East, which prompted the airport to make the amenity.
Shayan Modarres, an Orlando civil-rights attorney and Muslim, said the prayer room”is a great step in the right direction, especially for tolerance and inclusion.”
