A 410 year old copy of the Quran has been found in India. The origins of the holy book dates back to the end of Akbar the Great’s rein (1556-1605), one of the greatest rulers and generals of the Mughal Dynasty.
The historic Quran was about to be sold onto the black market but the authorities were able to halt the transaction and arrested the suspects.
Historian B. Sheikh Ali describes the calligraphy in the book, which is 605 pages, as a “piece of art.”
