A mosque in Ontario, Canada was deliberately set on fire over the weekend. Fortunately no one was hurt but smoke damages were said to be at $80,000. A crowfunding campaign was soon established and by Monday, the goal had been reached!
Mayor Daryl Bennett condemned the hate crime, declaring in a statement, “Attacking a place of worship is a despicable act. Masjid Al-Salaam, the name of the mosque, means mosque of peace.”
