Gaza is looking to the future and is rebuilding again after years and years of fighting between Palestinians and Israel which resulted in widespread damage to the region.
Qatar and Kuwait are both Gulf nations committed to rebuilding Gaza after the damage of the 2014 war. Qatar has pledged $1 billion, a portion allocated to reconstruct 1,000 demolished homes, while Kuwait has pledged $200 million, with money allocated for rebuilding 2,000 homes. However, no Kuwaiti funds have yet been disbursed leaving many on a perpetual waiting list — yet Qatar has moved forward with their commitments, and many fortunate Gazans are seeing their homes rebuilt.
