Conde Nast provides this listicle of the top 17 most beautiful mosques in the world, which, according to the publication, “represents some of the most beautiful [mosques] in the world… whether modern or sporting traditional minarets, they represent an integral space in the lives of 1.6 billion people.”
Included in the list are: the Sultan Ahmed Mosque in Istanbul, Turkey; the Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca, Morocco; the Nasir al-Molk Mosque in Shiraz, Iran and the Diyanet Center of America in Lanham, Maryland.
