Yes it’s true, 11-year-old Tara Sharif scored 162 points on the Mensa IQ test (which she recently took in Oxford, England) and scored two points higher than both famous geniuses Albert Einstein and Stephen Hawking. The “genius benchmark” is at 140 (but you knew that, right?).
“I was shocked when I got the result – I never expected to get such a good score,” Tara told Iran Front Page. “It was a joint decision between me and my parents to take the test. It will be a wonderful opportunity to meet other people within the Mensa system. I have told some of my friends at school and they were really impressed.”
“It really isn’t surprising that there are highly intelligent girls and women of Persian descent,” states Muslim Girl. “Since the beginning, women in Middle Eastern countries have always been either leaders, scientists, doctors, or entrepreneurs… The brilliance of women from that part of the world is oftentimes overlooked due to cultural barriers or oppression from outsides forces. There are many more girls like Tara with brilliant minds just waiting to be discovered, but will they be? This 11-year-old girl will definitely bring hope to other girls.”
