Having survived being jailed by the Syrian regime multiple times, Syrian activist and civilian journalist Karam Al Hamad has managed to leave his country and recently arrived in the U.S to study at the Syracuse University’s Maxwell School of Public Affairs.
As Hamad clarifies about his stay, it is not an “escape to the US, I’m here for Syria and I’m going back to Turkey after I finish this fellowship.”
