In this photo-essay, photo-journalist Narciso Contreras captures the ongoing civil-war in Yemen where more than 4,000 people have been killed and nearly 20,000 injured in just four months. In the densely-populated Al Qasimi neighborhood, the war has brought to rubble a “magnificent complex of traditional houses.” And despite the daily bombardments over the capital, the Yemenis people find a way to go to the street market, and look for food and goods.
