Last week a video went viral showing an Australian woman on a bus berating a Muslim family. Passenger Stacey Eden took the video and has been lauded for her supportive efforts but now the Bhatti family is speaking for themselves.
As Hafeez Bhatti told ABC News, “I tried to educate the [bullying] woman across from us and say she should not generalize all Muslims based on a minority of terrorists and extremists and though I appreciate Stacey standing up for us, I want the world to know why we stayed calm. If you try to control yourself and be calm, you can control the situation.”
