Duke University officials last week reversed its decision to broadcast the Muslim adhan (call to prayer) on campus, citing “security concerns.” The call to prayer did end up happening, albeit at a much smaller scale, and significantly, hundreds of Muslim and non-Muslims students came in support and prayed together.
