The Guardian takes a look at four powerful female Muslim writers and performers — Aizzah Fatima (“Dirty Paki Lingerie”), Nadia Parvez Manzoor (Burq Off!”), Fawzia Mirza (known for web-series, BuzzFeed) and comedian Mona Shaikh – who are all known for challenging stereotypes on how Muslim women are superficially perceived. As Aizzah Fatima states: “Nobody expects Muslim women to be artists, let alone comedians.”
