In the wake of the deadly attacks in France last month, filmmaker Luc Besson wrote a powerful letter, published in Le Monde, addressing Muslim youth. As Besson writes: “How can you change this society that’s being offered to you? By working, by studying, by taking up a pencil rather than a kalishnikov.”
