The Supreme Court sided today with Muslim-American Samantha Elauf who interviewed to work at Abercrombie & Fitch but was rejected because the hijab (religious headscarf) she wore was said to violate the company’s “Look Policy.”
“This is really easy,” Justice Antonin Scalia declared in announcing his decision. The vote was 8 to 1, with Justice Clarence Thomas voting against.
