Guess who Eric Trump was seated next to on a flight to Scotland? No, not Chelsea Clinton but someone almost as, um, interesting — comedian Mo Amer, an American comedian and writer of Palestinian descent who was one of three comics featured in the film Allah Made Me Funny (yes, shameless plug, produced by our parent company, Unity Productions Foundation).
Amer relays his experience to the Guardian: “I put my bags up, sat down, introduced myself as Mohammed. I said: ‘I’m a Muslim. I’m not gonna do that Muslim ID thing. That’s not gonna fly’… His exact words were: ‘come on, man, don’t believe everything you read. We’re not going to do that’.”
The Guardian reports that representatives for president-elect Trump have not responded to requests for clarification on the proposed Muslim registry.
