Rahaf Khatib is a hijab wearing, 32 year old mother of three from the Detroit area who loves to run. Hoping to overcome stereotypes, Khatib has entered an online competition to be featured on the cover of Runner’s World magazine. If she wins, she would be the first “hijabi” on the cover!
Khatib talks about entering the contest. “I feel like having people seeing me out there can soften up the tone a little bit.”
