Filmmaker Tara Miele’s new short film has a simple mission reflected in the title: “Meet A Muslim.” We meet a diverse group of Muslim Americans — a foodie, a doctor, a Kelly Clarkson fan, a poet, and a mother. One of the contributors declares in the piece, “I think the best way to unite us is through education and through getting to know one another, because I think it’s a lot harder to hate a group of people or a community of people if you know somebody.”
The film currently has more than 3.8 million views on Facebook, and as another participant in the video states: “We are all much more than just one label.” And we say — indeed!
