As the world mourns the Paris attacks, the people of Beirut are also grieving over their own tragedy when on November 12th, extremists (most likely ISIS) attacked the Bourj al-Barajneh district leaving 43 dead and wounding 239 people.
Reports say that the figure could have been much higher if not for one hero, a Muslim man named Adel Termos who sacrificed himself for the greater good when he noticed a second suicide bomber preparing another attack –
“He tackled him to the ground, causing the second suicide bomber to detonate,” reports Elie Fares, a Beirut-based doctor. “There are many, many families, hundreds of families probably, who owe their completeness to his sacrifice.”
