Known as the Pink Mosque, the Nasir al-Mulk Mosque in Shiraz, Iran is appropriately nicknamed due to the beautiful rose-colored tiles interspersed on its stained glass windows.
Morning is said to be the best time to visit the 19th-century mosque as it’s when the light beams through the windows and illuminates the tiles. “The sight of the morning sunlight shining through the colorful stained glass then falling over the tightly woven Persian carpet is so bewitching that it seems to be from another world,” says a photographer named Koach.
