These Islamic messages are the latest billboard campaign sponsored by the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA) with the clear goal of promoting Islam as a religion of peace and tolerance. The billboards are set to appear in major cities across the U.S. including Sacramento, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Atlanta and Miami.
“I think it’s a great idea, considering all the misperceptions about the faith,” said Bodia Wardany, who attends the Salam Islamic Center of Sacramento.
