Providing medical care to the poor as an extension of her personal faith was nothing new to Dr. Zaiba Malik, a Muslim doctor working in the Ecuadorian city of San Lorenzo. What was new to her, however, was the daily routine of starting the morning with readings from the Bible and singing Christian hymns, which lent a whole new facet to her work.
