Surfing in Lebanon is starting to become legit thanks to the efforts of Lebanese-American Ali Elamin, founder of the surf school “Surf Lebanon,” and his pal and fellow surfer, Mustafa el-Hajj. “We have a really decent coastline that almost no one takes advantage of, and we get awesome waves,” says Elamin. To date, there are about a hundred surfers in the community with forty who are “hardcore” according to Elamin.
