
According to the American Muslim Consumer Consortium, Muslim-American spending power is at an all time high of $100 billion dollars. Fashion designers like Giorgio Armani, Tommy Hilfiger, and Donna Karan have quickly taken note, and are courting the Muslim shopper this Ramadan. Ilse Thomele, an analyst at a top research firm reports that “a typical ‘Ramadan consumer’ is likely to emerge in the same way as the Christmas shopper…as a global phenomenon.”
